Welcome to Luray Virginia located approximately one and
one half hours west of Washington DC. Built in 1938, the Luray Singing
Tower is one of the only free-standing carillons in North America. It
was given to the town in 1937 and is equipped with 47 bells, the largest
weighing over three and a half tons. The Luray Singing Tower was designed
by J. Raymond Mims and was once known as Belle Brown Northcot Memorial.

Anton Brees as its first carllonneur. This tower still stands today being
built of native Massanutten sandstone and still providing free concerts
